Icosahedral Borane Derivatives

Due to a confidential agreement with Guerbet S.A., I am unable to discuss this research in detail here. The aim for the project carried out is to make periodo derivatives of the icosahedral borane B₁₂H₁₂^2- as agents suitable for X-ray contrast media (see patents WO95/05202; WO95/26354). This collaboration originated from their interest in my work on B₁₂H₁₀(CO)₂ and its hydrate.
